Your Leadership. Our Repairs. Quality Homes.
At Curo, we believe that great repair work starts with great leadership, not technical expertise. We're looking for an inspiring people leader to guide our technical repairs team - you don't need to be hands-on with the tools, you need to be brilliant with people.
You'll split your time between developing your team through coaching and mentoring and organising the day-to-day repairs that make a real difference to people's lives. Working with your technical team and qualified technical supervisors, you'll ensure every job is completed to the highest standards while building strong relationships with residents.
What you'll be doing
Leading and motivating your technical team through coaching, mentoring and regular one-to-ones
Organising daily repairs and maintenance schedules to ensure efficient service delivery
Conducting site inspections to maintain quality standards and safety compliance
Building positive relationships with residents, tailoring your approach to their individual needs
Providing constructive feedback and supporting your team's professional development
Using mobile technology and IT systems to manage workflows and communicate with teams
Ensuring all work meets Curo's quality standards and regulatory requirements
What you'll get in return
Beyond a competitive salary of £41,213 and the chance to make a real difference every day, you'll get:
26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 days after 3 years
Your birthday off as an extra holiday
Up to 10% matched pension contribution
Hybrid working (flexible split between office and field-based work)
Flexible benefits which might include a Health Cash Plan
Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for your own wellbeing
More about you
We're looking for a natural leader who can inspire and develop others. You don't need to be a technical specialist – your strength lies in bringing out the best in technical teams and ensuring excellent customer service.
Essential:
Proven experience leading and motivating teams to achieve targets, or the ability to show you can do this
Strong communication skills - you can influence and guide others effectively
Ability to resolve conflicts and have difficult conversations in a positive way
Good problem-solving skills and sound judgment when making decisions
Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
Willingness to develop performance management skills, including one-to-ones and giving feedback
Full UK driving licence for travelling between properties
Comfortable using IT systems and mobile technology
Desirable:
Experience in property maintenance, repairs or construction
Understanding of health and safety requirements in hands-on environments
Adaptability - you can adjust your approach when things change
Experience in a technical or trade environment (though you don't need to be the expert)
You'll be flexible, reliable and committed to developing both yourself and your team. Most importantly, you'll share our passion for putting residents first and creating positive experiences even when dealing with essential repairs.

About Curo
We're one of the largest landlords in the South West, with a diverse portfolio of affordable and market rented homes.
We own and manage more than 14,000 homes; properties that our 28,000 residents call home. We’re building hundreds of new homes every year for rent and sale.
We provide award-winning support services to a wide range of residents, including homeless young people and families, older and disabled people, and those affected by mental health issues or memory loss.
As a housing association we have no paid shareholders. We create profit for purpose, reinvesting the surpluses from our commercial house-building business into our core social purpose.
