£36,407 per annum + benefits | Bath | Hybrid
Full Time | Permanent | 37 hours per week
Your Diligence. Our Assurance. Confidence for Customers.
At Curo, being well run and well governed is what gives our colleagues, our Board and our customers confidence in everything we do. Behind that confidence sits careful, reliable work: registers kept current, actions tracked to completion and clear reporting that surfaces the issues that matter.
That is where you come in. Joining our Governance and Assurance team, you'll help keep Curo's risk management, internal audit, fraud prevention and reportable events arrangements running smoothly, giving the Executive and Board the assurance they rely on.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in getting the detail right, enjoys bringing order to a varied workload and likes knowing their work helps keep the whole organisation on solid footing.
What you'll be doing
Keeping our Strategic and Operational Risk Registers accurate and up to date, and supporting risk owners to review their risks, controls and actions
Coordinating risk reporting and governance processes, including reporting to the Executive and Board Committees
Coordinating the annual Internal Audit programme, scheduling audits and following up with action owners to evidence completion
Tracking progress against audit recommendations and management actions, escalating overdue items promptly
Supporting our fraud prevention and reportable events arrangements, and helping progress and report on actions
Spotting trends and emerging risks across audits, incidents, complaints, fraud cases and reportable events
Producing clear, timely reports for the business, the Executive and the Board
Helping coordinate statutory and regulatory returns, and supporting wider governance and compliance reviews
What you'll get in return
Beyond a competitive salary of £36,407 and the chance to make a real difference every day, you'll get:
26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 days after 3 years
Your birthday off as an extra holiday
Up to 10% matched pension contribution
Hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days home)
Flexible benefits which might include a Health Cash Plan
Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for your own wellbeing
More about you
You're well organised and work accurately, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to prioritise a varied workload. You stay calm under pressure, meet your deadlines and can handle sensitive issues with tact, including when working with senior colleagues.
Essential:
Experience of risk management, internal audit, assurance, compliance or fraud-related processes in any sector, alongside strong administration experience
Experience of using systems to maintain registers, monitor actions and support reporting
Confident user of Microsoft Office

About Curo
We're one of the largest landlords in the South West, with a diverse portfolio of affordable and market rented homes.
We own and manage more than 14,000 homes; properties that our 28,000 residents call home. We’re building hundreds of new homes every year for rent and sale.
We provide award-winning support services to a wide range of residents, including homeless young people and families, older and disabled people, and those affected by mental health issues or memory loss.
As a housing association we have no paid shareholders. We create profit for purpose, reinvesting the surpluses from our commercial house-building business into our core social purpose.
