Join us at a pivotal moment. As part of our newly established Programme Management Office (PMO), you'll be instrumental in delivering strategic change and transformation initiatives from day one. This is not just about what's coming - it's about what's happening now.
You'll lead high-impact projects that align with our strategic vision, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience. From the outset, you'll be involved in shaping project structures, reviewing documentation, and supporting lessons learned activities - all within a fast-moving transformation environment.
What you'll be doing
Project Delivery & Governance:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic projects aligned with organisational priorities
- Embed structured governance, ensuring clarity on scope, cost, quality, risk, and benefits
- Provide robust reporting and visibility to senior leadership
- Plan and establish project teams and structures for new platforms and initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership:
- Engage and influence stakeholders unfamiliar with project methodologies
- Foster collaboration and build trust across diverse teams
- Lead project meetings, steering groups, and governance forums
Change Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Partner with HR and Communications to embed change sustainably
- Support post-project reviews and lessons learned activities
- Drive continuous improvement through feedback and data insights
Risk & Quality Assurance:
- Proactively manage risks and issues, escalating where needed
- Ensure quality assurance across all project phases
- Participate in repairs reviews and documentation assessments
Financial & Resource Management:
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring value for money
- Contribute to workforce planning and capability building within the PMO

More about you
Essential:
- Proven experience delivering complex projects in a structured PMO
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, and assurance frameworks
- High emotional intelligence and social skills -- able to bring people on the journey
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Financial acumen and strategic thinking
- Right to Work in the UK is required; unfortunately we're unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
Highly Desirable:
- PRINCE2 and/or PFQ
- PMQ
- Agile certifications
You'll work collaboratively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, acting as a trusted adviser who can translate complex project requirements into clear, actionable plans. Your ability to engage stakeholders who may be unfamiliar with project methodologies will be crucial to success.
