- Assisting with brickwork repairs and pointing on existing walls
- Supporting multi-trade colleagues with small drainage repairs and installations
- Collecting and disposing of waste as part of keeping communities tidy
- Using basic tools and equipment to complete repairs efficiently
- Managing your van stock and materials to keep jobs moving
What you'll get in return
Beyond a competitive salary of £26,430 and the satisfaction of seeing the immediate difference your work makes to residents' daily lives, you'll get:
- 26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 days after 3 years
- Your birthday off as an extra holiday
- Up to 10% matched pension contribution
- Company van with full equipment and tools provided
- Regular team development opportunities
- Free parking at many of our locations
- Flexible benefits which might include a Health Cash Plan
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for your wellbeing
More about you
We're looking for people who thrive on outdoor manual work:
- Experience in manual labour - construction, labouring, landscaping, groundworks or similar hands-on roles
- Willingness to work outdoors - comfortable working in all weather conditions year-round
- Not afraid to get hands dirty - this is practical, manual work that can be messy
- Basic tool skills helpful - any experience with tools, basic carpentry, or heavy lifting valued
- Reliable character - good attendance, punctual, and works well as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence - essential for travelling between properties
- Physical fitness - able to handle manual work including lifting and carrying
Whether you've worked on building sites, in landscaping, general labouring, or other outdoor roles, your practical experience and willingness to learn are what matter most.

About Curo
We're one of the largest landlords in the South West, with a diverse portfolio of affordable and market rented homes.
We own and manage more than 14,000 homes; properties that our 28,000 residents call home. We’re building hundreds of new homes every year for rent and sale.
We provide award-winning support services to a wide range of residents, including homeless young people and families, older and disabled people, and those affected by mental health issues or memory loss.
As a housing association we have no paid shareholders. We create profit for purpose, reinvesting the surpluses from our commercial house-building business into our core social purpose.
