£24,242 Per Annum + Benefits | Bath
Full Time | Permanent | 37 hours per week
Your Pride. Our Spaces. Happy Communities.
At Curo, we take pride in creating clean, safe places where people want to live. Our estates and communal areas are the first thing residents see when they come home -- and we need people who care about making that first impression count.
This hands-on role puts you at the heart of our communities. Working as part of a team across our Bath area estates, you'll focus on keeping our shared spaces clear of bulk waste and maintaining our grounds to a high standard.
You'll tackle everything from removing unwanted furniture to cutting back overgrown bushes, working outdoors in all weather conditions to make our estates cleaner, safer and more welcoming every day.
What you'll be doing
- Removing bulk waste items like furniture, white goods and handling fly-tipping across our estates
- Grounds maintenance including strimming, cutting back bushes and clearing overgrown areas
- Removing moss from pathways and maintaining access routes to keep them safe for residents
- Cleaning communal areas including stairwells, entrances and shared outdoor spaces
- Using power tools and equipment (pressure washers, strimmers) to maintain our green spaces
- Performing reactive cleaning tasks to resolve specific complaints or issues
- Carrying out minor repairs like replacing bins or installing bike racks
- Completing paperwork and using our systems to track work and materials
- Working comfortably with physical, practical tasks in an outdoor environment
What you'll get in return
Beyond a competitive salary and the chance to make a real difference every day, you'll get:
- 26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 days after 3 years
- Your birthday off as an extra holiday
- Up to 10% matched pension contribution
- Free parking at many of our locations
- Flexible benefits which might include a Health Cash Plan
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for your own wellbeing
More about you
Essential:
- Experience in a customer-facing role where attention to detail matters
- A full, clean UK driving licence for travelling between locations
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and good time management
- Basic familiarity with mobile devices (full training provided on our systems)
Desirable:
- Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, gardening or similar hands-on roles
- Knowledge of health and safety practices when using equipment
We value transferable skills from various backgrounds - whether you've worked in retail, hospitality, warehousing, or other service roles, your customer service experience and practical skills could be perfect for this position.

About Curo
We're one of the largest landlords in the South West, with a diverse portfolio of affordable and market rented homes.
We own and manage more than 14,000 homes; properties that our 25,000 residents call home. We’re building hundreds of new homes every year for rent and sale.
We provide award-winning support services to a wide range of residents, including homeless young people and families, older and disabled people, and those affected by mental health issues or memory loss.
As a housing association we have no paid shareholders. We create profit for purpose, reinvesting the surpluses from our commercial house-building business into our core social purpose.
