Behind Every Case. Your Investigation. A Solution.
Ready to use your investigative skills in a role with better work-life balance? If you're from policing, social services, domestic abuse services, housing, or legal backgrounds and seeking a meaningful change, this could be perfect for you.
At Curo, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe in their home and community. Behind every noise complaint or tenancy issue is a human story that needs the right approach. Our Case Managers are the investigators who step in when situations become complex. They find solutions that support those who need help while protecting the wider community.
You'll recognise the work - domestic abuse cases, safeguarding concerns, multi-agency partnerships, evidence gathering, and court presentations. The difference? You'll have the time to see cases through properly, with Monday-Wednesday working, no shift patterns, and a supportive team that understands the emotional demands of this work.
What you'll be doing
- Managing a caseload of complex cases involving antisocial behaviour, tenancy breaches, domestic abuse, hate crime, and safeguarding (protecting vulnerable people)
- Investigating incidents thoroughly and gathering evidence to understand what happened
- Supporting victims and witnesses throughout the process, keeping them informed and giving practical advice
- Working with those causing harm to address root causes and help them keep their tenancies where possible
- Preparing legal cases and presenting evidence in court around 2-3 times per month, working with our solicitors
- Building partnerships with police, social services, and local authorities to tackle complex housing issues
- Using conflict resolution, mediation, and restorative justice approaches to find solutions
What you'll get in return
Beyond a competitive salary and the chance to make a real difference every day, you'll get:
- 26 days annual leave per year (pro rata, plus bank holidays) rising to 29 days after 3 years
- Your birthday off as an extra holiday
- Up to 10% matched pension contribution (pro rata)
- Flexible working arrangements within your Monday-Wednesday pattern
- Free parking at many of our locations
- Flexible benefits which might include a Health Cash Plan
- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for your wellbeing
- Comprehensive training and development opportunities
More about you
Your experience in policing, social services, domestic abuse services, housing, or legal work has given you skills we value. You understand what it's like to deal with vulnerable people, challenging situations, and the emotional toll this work can take. That's exactly why you'll fit well with our supportive team approach.
Essential:
- Strong investigative mindset with attention to detail and curiosity to gather evidence
- Excellent communication skills for working with distressed customers and partner agencies
- Resilience and emotional intelligence when dealing with challenging or vulnerable customers
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in complex situations
- Strong organisational skills to manage a varied caseload and prioritise tasks effectively

About Curo
We're one of the largest landlords in the South West, with a diverse portfolio of affordable and market rented homes.
We own and manage more than 14,000 homes; properties that our 25,000 residents call home. We’re building hundreds of new homes every year for rent and sale.
We provide award-winning support services to a wide range of residents, including homeless young people and families, older and disabled people, and those affected by mental health issues or memory loss.
As a housing association we have no paid shareholders. We create profit for purpose, reinvesting the surpluses from our commercial house-building business into our core social purpose.
